FAQ

How do I know what level my child is?
Almost all children will begin at level 1 if they are new to gymnastics. However, our mission at Victory Gymnastics is to provide the best gymnastics to every child at their level. If your child has had previous gymnastics or tumbling experience you may schedule a free placement evaluation.

What is a placement evaluation?
A placement evaluation is used for students who are new to Victory Gymnastics and who also have previous gymnastics experience. An evaluator will spend time with the child out in the gym to determine the child’s skill level and what class will be best suited for them.
Q: Is there a cost to schedule a placement evaluation?
A: Absolutely not! Placement evaluations are completely free of charge.
Q: How long will the evaluation take?
A: This really depends on the child’s experience and skill level, but typically the placement evaluation will last no longer than 10 minutes.
Q: What happens during the placement evaluation?
A: The evaluator will take the child around to the different apparatuses in the gym and have the child perform any pertinent skills that they can safely execute on their own.
Q: What happens after my child’s placement evaluation?
A: After the evaluation, the evaluator will meet with you to discuss which class is best suited for your child. We will then help you enroll in a class time that works well with your schedule.

Do you have open enrollment?
Yes, we do. You may enroll your child at any time throughout the year. You pay for class each month. We do not have sessions or semesters.

What does my child wear to class?
Boys or girls may wear tucked in t-shirts and shorts or leotards with shorts for girls. We suggest tight fitting clothing for safety. Girls will not be allowed to practice in just sports bras. Hair should be pulled neatly and securely away from the face so that it stays up for the entire workout. Girls should not wear bows or other large hair ornaments that may cause discomfort during activity. No jewelry such as rings, necklaces, or earrings may be worn during class. Stud post earrings are allowed. All students should be barefoot while in class. No chewing gum or candy are allowed. Personal items should be left in lockers in the coat room. Victory Gymnastics will not be responsible for any items that may be lost or stolen. Be sure your child’s personal items are marked with their name.

If my child misses a class, can I schedule a makeup class?
Make up classes are held the last Friday night of every month. Make-up and extra classes are subject to availability, and you must be currently enrolled to schedule a make-up or an extra class. You may make up one missed class per month. You must call or e-mail to schedule your make up class. We will need to know in advance how many students will be at each months make up class to plan for the proper amount of coaches to be available. This policy is subject to further restrictions and changes.

If I enroll in the middle of the month, will my tuition be prorated?
Yes, you will only be charged for the weeks that you will attend for the remainder of the month. If you enroll the last week of the month, we will ask for the last week’s prorated amount as well as the following month’s tuition.

Do I get credit for holiday closings? Will my tuition be prorated?
We do not give credits for holiday closings just as we do not increase your tuition when you receive five classes in a month. Every student is guaranteed an average of four lessons per month over a 12-month period. Most months have four lessons, while some months have five lessons. Most children actually receive 50 lessons per year if they attend every week!

If I miss a gymnastics class, will I receive a refund for that class?
Victory Gymnastics has open enrollment year-round for all classes. Each class is charged at a flat monthly fee. The fee reserves the student’s place in the class whether attending or not. Therefore, there are no refunds for classes missed including scheduled holidays. You can make up one missed class per month. Make ups will be held the last Friday of the month.

If I need to drop a class, can you hold my spot until next month?
Unfortunately, we cannot hold your spot. You will NOT have to repay your enrollment fee when you return.

What is your bad weather policy?
• We will make an announcement on our website and Facebook
• We do not follow school closings and may be open even if school was cancelled.

Do I pay an enrollment fee?
Yes, there is a yearly enrollment fee of $30.00 per child. Families with multiple children enrolling will only be required to pay $20.00 per additional child. Parties, Open Gyms, and Camps do not require a registration fee.

If I enroll more than one child, do I get a discount?
Yes. A $5 sibling discount will be applied for each additional child per month.

What age does my child have to be to attend Open Gym?
Your child must be 6 years or older to attend Open Gym. The maximum age to attend is 14 years old.

Do you offer private lessons?
Yes. Private lessons and semi-private lessons are available. Please contact the gym to book these.

How do I stop auto payment and drop a class?
If you would like to stop attending classes, you will need to stop by the front desk or contact the gym by the 15th of a month in order to not be charged for the following month. If you contact the gym after the 15th, you will still be charged for the following month.
